Despite global information about world issues, there is little global action taken by citizens themselves to address poverty, global warming or warfare hazards.
The web 2.0 provides a formidable opportunity for citizens to discuss and vote on development issues and priorities, and invest their donations or time accordingly.
It is also an opportunity for donors to discuss issues with beneficiaries and see the impact of their donations.
Our vision
Citizen of Our World is a charity providing a web-based information and voting system allowing members (donors) to:
- Decide what their money should be spent on.
- Monitor the progress of the elected projects.
- Communicate with project beneficiaries and other donors.

What makes us different
Democracy : Donors become members of a web-based community and vote to assign fundings to projects, and to rate the NGOs in charge.
Communication : Members can discuss project issues and priority online in discussion groups, or within specific online communities of donors, and share views with beneficiaries.
Transparency : Ongoing projects progress is being documented online with reports, photos, videos, testimonials.
Who we are
Citizen Of Our World (COOW) is a Geneva based non-profit charity founded in 2009.
It aims to raise funds and distribute them on a democratic basis to competent NGOs for specific projects.
COOW is led by a Committee of experts in various domains such as NGO management, Project management, IT, Communica-tions, CRM, Finance, Legal, Business Development.
